Suzuki Play-In
Come make music with us! ChamberFest Canandaigua invites violinists and cellists of all ages and experience levels to perform side-by-side with Juilliard cellist Amy Sue Barston, acclaimed concert pianist Audrey Andrist, world-renowned violin professor Katie Lansdale, and nationally known violist Chiara Kingsley Dieguez.
This joyful community music event in the Finger Lakes region celebrates the beloved Suzuki repertoire and the connections it creates among musicians. Aptly called the "Mother Tongue" method, the Suzuki philosophy treats music like language, allowing students to build their musical vocabulary through shared pieces and experiences.
Students at a Suzuki event are never truly strangers. Young musicians from different backgrounds can come together through a shared love of music, instantly connecting through pieces they already know and enjoy.
